Fred Picton

MOOSE JAW POLICE SERVICE         

INFORMATION RELEASE

 

In accordance with the Saskatchewan Public Disclosure Act, the following information is shared in the interest of public safety.

 

Frederick Douglas Picton, having been previously convicted of sexual offences has been identified as a high risk to re-offend.

 

Mr. Picton is currently residing in the Moose Jaw area.

 

Mr. Picton is caucasian, 60 years of age, 5’06” (168 cm), 130 pounds (59 kg), grey/brown bushy hair.

 

Mr. Picton has a history of committing sexual offences against both males and females with whom he is acquainted or with whom he establishes a relationship. In previous offences, his victims have ranged from early teen to early adult years and have included victims who are emotionally challenged and therefore vulnerable. 

 

Mr. Picton is currently required to comply with the following conditions as stipulated by a court ordered recognizance:

  • Not to engage in any activity that involves contact with persons under the age of fourteen years, including using a computer system within the meaning of subsection 342.1(2) Criminal Code of Canada, for the purpose of communicating with a person under the age of fourteen years.

  • Not to attend a public park or public swimming area where persons under the age of fourteen are present or can reasonably be expected to be present, or a day care centre, school ground, play ground or community center.
